Jason Ting (b. 1986, Johor Bahru, Malaysia) is a new media artist based in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He uses creative coding tools to create abstract animated visuals that explore the interaction of form, color, and motion. A graduate of UC San Diego’s Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts program, his work is inspired by forces found in nature, geometric patterns, and light.

The beauty and complexity of the natural world has always captivated me, from the movement of waves to the interplay of light and color at sunset. These phenomena inform my creative process as I explore the interaction of light, color, and form through generative animated visuals created with code. Through a daily practice of exploration and iteration, I hope to create artworks that bring wonder and healing.
